Let’s talk project scale! We can tackle any size of home project you need. From a single end table to a whole home: our designers are up for the challenge!
Jessica was presented with one such challenge with a recent client project. The clients were building their custom dream home in Cedar Falls and needed help with a dream design for their furniture and interior design.
With a large-scale project, the client was worried about establishing a flow from one space to the other. She wanted a unique, comfortable style that was functional for their large family.
Entry & Loft

Beginning with the entry space, the goal was to give a show-stopping yet welcoming first impression.
The loft space above the entry is open to the stairwell and great room below. It serves as a perfect reading space for all four kids to hang out. With four Sally swivel chairs, everyone has their own spot!
Great Room
As the heart of the home, it was crucial for the great room design to be comfortable as well as beautiful. A Linkin wedge sectional provides a beautiful centerpiece that looks great from all angles. Renee swivel chairs are the perfect pieces to frame the windows and swivel toward the fireplace, kitchen, or to the view out the windows. The Carmet loveseat adds seating volume and a variety of textures. Tall black cabinets flank either side of the fireplace to add contrast and height to the focal point. A multi-faceted wood coffee table brings warmth to the center of the room.
Sun Room
Located off the open floor plan kitchen, the sunroom makes the perfect place to kick back and watch TV. The beautiful Harrison sectional is the ideal spot to lounge! The dark walls enhance the room’s feelings of comfort and intimacy.
Home Office
With more people working from home on occasion, having a beautiful and functional home office is becoming more essential. In this instance, the clients wanted their home office to double as a spare guest room. The Lyons Comfort Sleeper is the perfect solution! The custom hand-forged steel and maple Beaufort desk creates a stunning center piece which compliments the custom built-ins and natural walnut work surface.
Bed Room
The clients’ main floor bedroom suite design inspiration was light and airy with one particular must have statement piece: a canopy bed. From there, Jessica added natural walnut nightstands for warmth and to play up the natural beauty of the natural walnut ceiling center beam. Stephanie swivel gliders in caramel leather add an extra layer of comfort. A settee at the end of the bed makes the whole room feel extra cozy.
Lower Level
The lower level area is the place to be for a fun night in! Beginning with a large Colton sectional and 4 Blake swivel chairs with room for everyone to enjoy movie night. Fabrics, textures and colors add a wonderful warmth to this room. Welcome home.
Complete with a table for board games, shuffle board, and ping pong table. Who wouldn’t want to hang out here?
The bar area is a stunning focal point with the natural walnut slatted wall and island. The swivel stools complete the look.
When it comes to custom homes, it really pays off to work with our designers on custom furnishings too. This way you can maximize your unique style which is individual to you and your home. Jessica’s clients are thrilled with the results and are settling nicely into their dream home!
