A Different Take on a Hearth Room

My job as an interior designer is to figure out the functionality that my clients need out of each room, and then find a way to put a unique spin on the design to make it custom for that client. I want each client’s room to be gorgeous, very functional, and completely their own.

Vicki has this beautiful concrete fireplace in the hearth room of her Des Moines home, so she knew that she wanted something a little bit different in this room.  After a lot of research and discussion, I proposed the idea of four Alma swivel chairs paired with a beautiful custom Pablo ottoman.

This layout allows for cozy conversation with your feet up in front of the fire…or you have the option to swivel around and enjoy the view out their large bank of windows.Hearth room with swivel chairs

We are so pleased with the way this setup looks so far that I wanted to give you a sneak peek of the design.  We are currently in Phase 2 of the design process, which will most likely include a new rug, artwork, and accessories. This hearth room will be a complete stunner when we’re finished. I’ll be sure to share more photos then.

If you’d like me to take a look at your home and provide you with a completely customized design plan, please reach out anytime. I’d love to put together a room for you that you will love for years to come!
