Re-Vamped Dining Room

I have worked with Melissa & Sam on several projects in their home over the years. Which means I already know their style and the vibe they want their home to have. We’ve already built the relationship…which makes it even easier for me to help them!

Melissa wanted to “re-vamp” their dining room into a room they would enjoy and actually use more. This is a really common issue with our clients…they have a dining room that never gets used because it’s too stuffy and formal.

Design Plan

We decided to get rid of their ordinary dark table and chairs and replace them with a cool counter height table with sleek low back stools. The stools have a soft mottled fabric with gunmetal finish on the base that adds interest.
We also added a really cool buffet in the same finish as the table. The taupe/gray finish on the furniture softened the palette and lets the focus be on the sparkly, dimensional art. The art is a showstopper…it totally draws your attention the moment you walk into the room.

This made the room more suitable for casual entertaining or even playing cards.  Melissa and Sam were so excited when we delivered the furniture and artwork…seeing my clients so happy with the room we created is the best part of my job!
